“I only cook what I want to cook,” so says Sam, one of this country’s exciting new generation chefs.
When he was asked to head the kitchen at Christchurch’s Hello Sunday 3-years ago, Sam who was cooking at Dux Dine at the time jumped at the chance. Not only did he design and build the café’s kitchen, he developed the menu and for the past two years Hello Sunday has won Christchurch Café of the Year as voted by industry peers and the general public. The café has also won Christchurch’s Best Breakfast dish that featured Sam’s amazing, totally own-recipe baked beans. He admits to being something of a baked bean addict.
